I have survived moving and my first week of graduate school. I must admit that I have mainly been a student of classmates’ names/ life stories and syllabi. I know that it will get harder as reading moves into reading, papers, tests, and learning a new language. I did find out today that I would not be learning to read a dead language (Greek) as often I heard. No instead we are learning a new system to read koine (Biblical) Greek but speak and pronounce modern Greek. (At least that is how I understand it) The last month and a little bit has been crazy. It went like this: find a place to live, move camp, move us, car fire(the Pilot, it is okay now. Full Story later.), unpack, breathe, Santa Fe (Glorieta) for personal retreat, Orientation, Unpack, School, Unpack. We still have a little more unpacking to complete. Hopefully, this weekend will be the end. We do have to take a break for a birthday. I am excited about what God has in store. We have some fun ideas for camp next year, we are visiting churches, and looking for ways to be plugged into Waco. Generally surviving. Pray that here in a month or so I will be able to post Thriving. I do have a lot to write about so don’t go too far away. Worst off I still have a novel that has been forming in the back of my mind for the last couple of years. My mind is constantly being drawn to new ideas for the book. Maybe in the next couple of years I can put it on paper. Anyways that is my ramble. Felt like a good way to end the day and start a new year.
