This year marks my 10th year as an adult in the eyes of the law.<\/p>\n
Over these years I have experienced a lot of things. Perhaps the most frustating thing is the difficulty in following through intentions. As responsiblities have grown with age I have found that there are greater and greater obstacles to accomplishing what I intend to.<\/p>\n
When I am talking about intention I am not usually talk about anything public. I give every effort to be a man of my word. No, what I am talking about is the battle that rages in my mind. I spent 13 years going to school and for 13 years my schedule and goals where set for me. For the last 9 however I alone have been responsible.<\/p>\n
Long story short I am frustrated. As I sit here and write I am reminded of the verse in Philipians where Paul reminds us that God completes his work. God accomplishes his intentions. I am glad I can rely on Him even I can’t on myself.<\/p>\n
What does it mean to be a person who sits down and calculates the cost of building their tower before beginning construction? What does that look like in everyday life?<\/p>\n
Perhaps it would be stopping to think why am I avoiding this task that I have started? I often find that I do not have a realistic perspective on how long it takes to accomplish a task like sending an email, mowing the yard, cleaning the dishes, etc. So I complain or avoid. Rather if only I would stop and think about how little time it would take.<\/p>\n
In the same way thinking of where is my leak? What do I do that is a thief stealing my time?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
